Upen Patel and Karishma Tanna, who were seen together in Bigg Boss and Nach Baliye, have now turned love gurus for Love School. They will be seen advising eight chosen couples on how to rekindle their love.
Speaking to us about how they make their relationship work, Karishma says, “Our relationship is simple; it isn’t perfect. We understand each other’s likes and dislikes. We make it a point to communicate.” Upen adds, “I’ve had a lot of relationships before I met Karishma, but there was nobody to guide me. I’ve now come to a stage where I’ve learnt the importance of respecting your partner. If I have a chance to preach this message to people then why not?” The duo have been planning to get married too, Upen tells us. “We are prepared for marriage just that we haven’t fixed a date as yet.”
So, does Karishma have a love guru in her life? She says, “Friends do give advice, but in the end it’s up to you. Although, I think it is nice to have a guy’s perspective on girl’s issues in relationships and vice versa.” Upen admits he loves playing love guru to other couples. He says, “I believe in positivity and love bringing people together. I am more like the big brother in the show. There was this one guy on the show who would hit his girlfriend. I spoke to him and found out that his father did the same with his mother. I had to explain to him that such behaviour is unacceptable.”
Meanwhile, the duo admits they haven’t been watching the current season of Bigg Boss, the show where they met. Karishma says, “We were shooting in Himachal Pradesh for a month so we have not been able to follow the show. Although I have been invited for the Weekend Ka Vaar, episode so I may go.”
