Twenty-two years ago, Malaika Arora Khan and Arbaaz met on the sets of a steamy coffee ad and fell in love. Recently, on Pria Kataaria Puri’s show, Malaika admitted that it’s only because her mother was away from the sets that she and Arbaaz hooked up.
She reminisces, “I was given a brief and knew that it was a steamy ad. I knew I would have to be professional and get risqué with Arbaaz. I told my mom ‘Please don’t come to the shoot or I’d be embarrassed and really awkward’. So she stayed away. Even today she says, ‘Had I been there, you wouldn’t have hooked up. I would’ve made sure you finished your shoot and got back home’.”
