Tirupati: District collector Siddarth Jain instructed the officials to make necessary arrangements for President Pranab Kumar Mukherjee’s visit to Tirupati on December 25. He addressed a meeting held in Chittoor on Saturday.
Speaking on this occasion, he directed the officials of the Roads and Buildings Department to set up barricades from airport to Tirupati city, wherever needed.
He directed the Southern Power Distribution Company officials to set up generators to supply uninterrupted power to the guest houses during the President’s visit. He also asked the Transport Department officials to arrange necessary vehicles for protocol and directed the medical officials to make themselves available during President’s visit. Tirupati Urban Development Authority vice-chairman Vinay Chand and additional joint collector V. Venkata Reddy and other officials participated in the meeting.
