Though he did not get offers in the beginning as a dancer he got an opportunity in the dance reality show Aata, launched in 2009. He began as a participant and went on to become a team leader, mentor and a judge in the following sessions. Bharat is credited with performing on the audio release functions of major Tollywood movies.

Six months ago he vacated his rented flat at Bharat Nagar and shifted to another flat in Rama Rao Nagar colony in Moti Nagar. He was staying alone in the flat. Two months ago he got engaged to a 28-year-old woman, who is also working for movies. Their marriage was scheduled in February 2016.

On Saturday at around 10.30 pm he called his fiancee but her mobile phone was busy. He tried calling for another half an hour, but her phone was busy. Later, when the call connected, he spoke to her.

After that, they chatted for sometime through Whatsapp. During the chat, an argument arose when Bharath asked her why she was busy on the call for such a long time and it led to a quarrel. Depressed with this he hanged himself with a shawl on the ceiling fan.

“On Sunday morning the house owner's son, Praveen, saw him hanging through the window and informed us. We suspect that he went into depression after a quarrel with his fiancée,” said Sanathnagar SI Eshwar.

Based on a complaint from Mr Praveen, a case of suspicious death (Section 174) was registered and the body was taken to hospital for postmortem.
