Number talk: Day 5 collections of ‘Dilwale’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’ are…

Mumbai: Both ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Dilwale’ are holding their fort very strongly. With the long weekend coming in, both the makers will be hoping to ring in more numbers at the box office.

As for the 5th day (Tuesday) collections, here’s where they stand. Dilwale has managed to collect 9.42 cr (NBOC) at the box office and Bajirao Mastani has collected 9.50 cr. Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rohit Shetty are two very different filmmakers who cater to their audience. Rohit Shetty in his recent interviews has said that it was not his competition but the ban that affected the overall box office collection of his movies.

He said, “Almost 40 per cent of the theaters were not showing the film and we resumed on Sunday morning… It’s all mathematics, how many theaters we are running in we will get the collections according to that,” Rohit said in an earlier interview. Bhansali is also a relieved man with audiences enjoying the period drama and also getting rave reviews for the film.
