Mohan Gokhale debuted on television in ‘Shwetambara’. He became popular because of his role in the Doordarshan television serial ‘Mr. Yogi’. Gokhale died in his sleep of a heart attack in Chennai on 29 April 1999 at the age of 45 when he was working- Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh, who is best remembered for his performances in films like 'Garm Hava', 'Shatranj Ke Khiladi', 'Chashme Buddoor' and 'Kissi Se Na Kehna', died after suffering a heart attack at the age of 65.
