Aamir Khan’s Christmas party threw up quite a surprise. The very private affair had some of his closest friends like Raju Hirani and Ashutosh Gowariker. But the one name on the guest list that was hard to swallow was that of Raj Thackeray. Especially, after the rather public warning the MNS chief gave Aamir, after the star spoke of leaving the country. Raj had said, “You Aamir, especially, let me warn you, the next time you say India isn’t safe, secure or is intolerant, don’t blame me for the consequences.”
Considering Aamir’s every move is calculated, the party could have been his way of clearing the air. A source said, “Aamir and Raj obviously touched upon that topic and both spoke at length about the statements they had made. But there was no argument. Towards the end, they were all smiles and the discussions moved on to films, politics and current affairs.”
