NYE skips to their LOOP!
As the New Year approaches, the dance floor is getting its due and DJs on the city turntables have new sounds for the parties ahead.
The countdown to ring in the New Year has begun. The DJs have the busiest season of the year this time around, so why not rake in the moolah while the sun shines? As we come to the last two days of the year 2015, we speak to some of the popular DJs in the city on their packed schedules of this month and how they’re planning to take off on a holiday, after ruling the party season in the city.
DJ Rohan Kapoor who has played at many gigs and is a popular name in the city, says, “It’s been a busy week. I’ve been playing everyday since last week and have just returned from Sunburn in Goa. I will be at the console at The Sugar Factory on Thursday night and my playlist will include the biggest songs of the year that always work best on the dance floor. Once the clock strikes midnight, we’re going to kick in the future sounds of the next year. After a busy season, I’m off for a couple of weeks to Bali and Sri Lanka.”
As party peeps in the city plan to bid the old goodbye and welcome the new, another popular DJ who promises to keep the vibes flowing thick and fast is Bengaluru’s Bollywood boy DJ Jasmeet who also played at actor Vivek Oberoi’s wedding. “I played at Carun Carumbiah’s wedding in Coorg on Monday this week. Infact, I’ve been playing at one event every night this whole week leading upto the New Year’s Eve bash at Sheraton and my playlist is predominantly all the hits of 2015 and some future dance floor fillers. It’s also been crazy busy with club and wedding season too, as I’ve just completed a tour of Thailand and Sri Lanka, but I love the energy and positive vibes all around, this year. There’s just so much happiness. I wouldn’t be able to take off on a holiday just after the D-Day, as I continue to play for a few weddings in Bengaluru and will holiday in February.”
DJ Vipul Khurana adds, “I will be at the turntables at JW Marriott alongwith DJ Ivan and DJ Nash. December was hectic as expected! We try to put a smile on everyone’s faces with our music. I’ve been working hard to make brand new remixes, mashups and videos to give party goers and videos to give them an experience like never before.”
But the hottest party probably will see mercury levels soaring with DJ Chloe Bodimeade from UK on Thursday night. Chloe who has played at some of the most popular hotspots across the world, adds, “I’m very excited to be playing with Bengaluru’s DJ Raghu Achar at Ice as I have heard about how well endowed this city’s party peeps are in the sense of International music and are totally in sync with the global music scene.”
