TRS on Mission ‘Damage Hyderabad,’ says Mohammed Shabbir Ali
Hyderabad: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Mohammed Shabbir Ali on Wednesday alleged that the TRS government was on a mission ‘Damage Hyderabad’.
Speaking to the media here, he said, “Hyderabad has been losing its image and brand both at the global and national level ever since the TRS government took charge in June, 2014.
From the “most preferred IT destination” to second rank in the list of “must see” destinations in the world, Hyderabad has slipped to a position that it is now being conveniently ignored by ranking agencies, Mr Shabbir Ali said.
He condemned the Archaeological Survey of India for excluding Charminar, Golconda or any other heritage sites of the state from the list of Indian and world heritage sites. Mr Shabbir Ali said exclusion of Charminar and Golconda from the ASI’s list contradicts the claims by panchayat raj minister K.T. Rama Rao on ‘Brand Hyderabad’.
“‘Brand Hyderabad’ was conceived and perfectly executed by the previous Congress government which developed a world-class infrastructure at a cost of over Rs 1 lakh crore from 2004-2014.
By bringing development activity to a complete halt, the TRS government has badly damaged the city's image. Instead of ‘Brand Hyderabad’, the TRS is pursuing a ‘Damage Hyderabad’ mission. KCR and KTR must wake up from their slumber,” he said.
