With such a lot of buzz on the happenings this season, tech-savvy party peeps have a reason to be h‘appy’. While many youngsters were seen scouting around to figure out the “most happening” place to celebrate New Year’s Eve, and welcome the first day of the year 2016 with a big bang, for the partying ahead, there are many apps and websites that will be your very own concierge to the best soirees in town.
It’s been a year of apps no doubt, making the youth in the city feel even more empowered with their smart phones. The New Year looks promising with events galore, as youngsters are going the whole hog with free apps that offer great discounts and deals, when you’re planning a night out.
Shruti ChaturLal, promoter of Indian classic music and dance and grand daughter of Bafta Award winner tabla wizard Pandit Chatur Lal says, “Technology has become our best friend, as it gives us great apps to let us bridge the gap between parties and concerts in town hopping from one to another and planning evenings effortlessly.” Some of the websites and apps that have become popular with youngsters and their evenings outs at pubs, breweries, night clubs, hotels and restaurants include checklittle.com, near.in, zerch, nearbuy, townista, swiggy, burrp, zomato, bookmyshow, tiny owl and many others.

It just makes it all simpler to plan, as everyone is living life in the fast lane and wants to make the most of the time at hand.”
Manish Chopra of Little App, a hyperlocal deals marketplace states, “There are great number of little deals that add that extra happiness to many lives with a choice of partying, eating out, enjoying a dinner with a loved one, or planning a corner chai cuppa. You can plan deals in your surrounding areas through location access on smartphones.”
Helping more and more people discover the finest experiences in their neighbourhood is Ankur Warikoo, co-founder, nearbuy, who states, “There is always more that everyone wants and that’s why there are many party and stay offers. Youngsters can also access party supplies, home catering offers and ‘December to Remember’ campaign that ties the online world of local commerce to the offline world of entertainment — covering a range of popular and upcoming music artists.”
