‘Afzal Guru’s death avenged’

The terrorists have written on the wall “Afzal Guru ka inteqam (Afzal Guru is avenged)”, read one.
New Delhi: A startling fact has emerged folowing the audacious attack on the Indian Consulate in Afghanistan’s Mazar-e-Sharif city. Media reports have claimed that the four terrorists, who carried out the attack on Sunday, have left behind a graffiti written in their own blood.
Moreover, it has emerged that Afzal Guru, hanged in 2013 for his role in the December 13, 2000 attack on Parliament, continues to be a rallying point for terrorists.
The terrorists have written on the wall “Afzal Guru ka inteqam (Afzal Guru is avenged)”, read one. “Ek shaheed, hazaar fidayeen,” stated the other.
Meanwhile, United Nations condemned the attack. “On the attack on Mazar-e-Sharif, obviously, it is an attack we condemn. Especially in light of what we've said, an attack on a diplomatic outpost -- that needs to be protected,” Mr Ban's spokesman Stephane Dujarric said on Wednesday.
President Ashraf Ghani had called Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday to brief him on the findings of Afghan investigators.
