Shimoga: Sycophants of KJP leader B.S. Yeddyurappa are misleading their leader and preventing him from taking a firm decision on his return to BJP, according to Rajya Sabha member and district BJP president Ayanur Manjunath.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, he said "the process of bringing Yeddyurappa back to the party is in progress. Our central leaders will take a final decision soon.

However, Yeddyurappa is being misled by some sycophants who are preventing him from taking a firm decision on his return to the BJP, or striking an alliance with the BJP. All problems will be solved if he takes a decision in this regard as per his conscience."

Manjunath said there was overwhelming response from party workers to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's rally scheduled for November 17 in Bengaluru with more than 15,000 of them likely to attend the event. In order to attract more people, party workers would participate in a motorbike rally here on November 14, he added.

Referring to criticism by Congress leader V.S.Ugrappa about arrangements for Modi's rally, Manjunath said such remarks were uncalled for. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G. Parameshwar should rein in Ugrappa for his nasty remarks against BJP leaders, the MP added.

Ugrappa had charged that BJP leaders, including Bengaluru mayor Katte Sathyanarayana, were collecting huge sums of money from the public.
