12,000 to get state benefits
Two-day Rachchabanda tour of CM in Godavari districts from today.
Rajahmundry: Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy will visit Godavari districts to take part in several local programmes for two days from November 15 to 16.
Based on the tentative schedule, the CM will arrive to Penugonda in West Godavari at about 3.00 pm on November 15 and proceed to Jagannadhapuram in Poduru mandal falling under Achanta Assembly segment.
He will take part in Rachchabanda programme and give away ration cards, pensions and house allotment papers to beneficiaries and address them for a while. He will also lay foundation stone for construction of two integrated hostels at Eluru and Bhimavaram.
Later, he will proceed to Penugonda and stay put for the night. On November 16, the Chief Minister will arrive to Rajahmundry airport at about 2.30 pm. He will proceed to Dowlaiswaram and inaugurate a housing complex at about 2.45 pm.
He will arrive to Government Arts College campus and lay foundation stone for construction of two social welfare hostels for college girls and boys separately at 3.00 pm. Later, he will arrive to Subramanyam grounds and take part in Rachchabanda at 3.30 pm.
Meanwhile, minister for stamps and registration Thota Narasimham inspected the arrangements for the CM’s visit. He said that the land at Dowlaiswaram was acquired from the Indian Oil Corporation Limited and 480 flats were constructed at a cost of Rs 10 crores and added that the CM would inaugurate the housing complex and give away papers to the beneficiaries. He said though the cost of each flat was Rs 1.63 lakh, each beneficiary has to pay Rs 45,000 to get it allotted in his\her favour.
Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad reviewed the arrangements with the officials and inspected the places where the CM was supposed to visit. She said that the CM would give away ration cards, house site pattas and Bangaru Thalli scheme papers to nearly 12,000 beneficiaries Rachchabanda programme. The CM will stay put for the night at R and B guest house.
