YSR Congress president to meet leaders of political parties

The YSRC chief will meet leaders of CPI, CPI(M), BJP among other regional party leaders.

Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy plans to meet leaders of different national and regional parties in Delhi on Saturday to muster support for a "united" Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan Mohan Reddy would meet leaders of the CPI and the CPI (M) on Saturday, as well as the BJP top brass on Sunday, the YSRCP said in a release issued here on Friday.

He plans to tour other state capitals and meet the heads of regional parties as well, the release said. Senior YSRCP leaders M V Mysoora Reddy, Mekapati Rajmohan Reddy, V Bala Souri, Konathala Ramakrishna and Gattu Ramachandra Rao would accompany Jaganmohan Reddy.

In another release, the YSRCP also said that a comprehensive meeting of party leaders, including those from the districts, would be held on November 18 to discuss the political situation prevailing in the state as well as organisational matters.

Meanwhile, former Andhra Pradesh excise minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, who was jailed in connection with the Vodarevu and Nizampatnam Port and Industrial Corridor (VANPIC) case, joined the YSRCP on Friday.
