Kiran Kumar Reddy tour gains significance
Visit for the first time after bifurcation of state was announced.
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s Krishna district tour on Saturday has got wide importance among the political circles in district.
According to officials, the CM will attend the Rachchabanda programme at Chilakallu in Jagaiahpeta constituency and will participate in a massive meeting and it is the first visit after the state bifurcation proposal was initiated by the Congress high command.
Actually, Krishna district Congress leaders proposed a meeting at Vijayawada for supporting the Chief Minister on the same day. However, the political JAC convener announced that the meeting was postponed due to Rachchabanda programme.
All the leaders are planning to attend the CM’s tour and also may discuss the future course of action in view of state bifurcation development. Political JAC convener Kolanukonda Sivaji said that they would bring to the notice of the CM not only the district issues but also discuss the state bifurcation issue.
Meanwhile, there is speculation amongnot only the Congress leaders but other political circles, especially on the CM’s speech and his role. According to information, the CM will attend the Rachcha-banda programme after postponing the Delhi tour, which was actually proposed by the Group of Ministers on Friday.
Rumours are doing the rounds among the political circles that it will be the final meeting between the CM and the GOM. However, he will attend the meeting after two days. In this backdrop, the CM’s tour has gained importance and political circles are expecting that he may give direction to the Congress cadre, particularly in this region. Especially, the CM’s reaction on future developments may come out at this public meeting, one senior Congress leader said.
However, the inauguration of Pulichinatala Project has not been included in this tour, but two days ago, minster for secondary education K. Parthasaradhi announced that the CM would inaugurate the project. On the other hand, Congress leader and political JAC convener Sivaji called on the people who opposed the state bifurcation to attend the meeting and express support to the CM.
YSR Congress Krishna district convener Samineni Udaya Bhanu said that they would oppose the CM’s tour as he has failed to implement the promises on various important projects in the district.
