Guess who is back? Former Miss India and actor Neha Dhupia is in town today to inaugurate a film school. Jet setting across the country, she manages to take out a few hours for the event before flying to Goa to shoot for 'Ikkis Topon Ki Salami' a political comedy starring Anupam Kher.

Despite a packed schedule, the actress who calls a spade a spade gets chatting with us.

Just back from walking the ramp for a designer for a fashion event in the capital, the actress recalls that for the longest time her father never really took her acting career seriously. “He would ask me when I would get a proper job, which is why I feel that more film institutes should be encouraged in the country," says the actress about inaugurating the CREO Valley School of Film & Television in the city.

For someone who never thought of joining films and wanted to be an athlete instead, Neha admits that the last 10 years have not been easy. “There is only one thumb rule to survive in this very unforgiving industry - you need to keep reinventing and believe in yourself," says the brazen actress. 2014 is going to be busy for her with 'Santa Banta' (a comedy with Vir Das and Boman Irani), 'Ikkis Topon Ki Salami' and 'Ungli's (in which she plays a journo) release. She is also planning on leveraging herself as a brand. Is there an alternate career in the pipeline? “Maybe," quips the actress who never tires of picking brawls at the airport, should someone jump the line. Hope she doesn't get into a fight on her way to Goa.

Enough about work, now let's talk about Neha. “I have been focusing on getting fitter," says the svelte actress who runs eight kilometres a day, adding, “I have also started swimming in the ocean again." The 33year-old actress is heading to Kochi in December where she spent the first 10 years of her life. “I want to see how much that city has changed," she reveals. Meanwhle, Neha insists that she is 'well' settled in life. “I have de-cluttered my life and I now know what I want from it. So yes I am settled. But in terms of relationship, my status is 'not exactly. Always'," she says.
