Chennai: An Indian dressing room without Sachin Tendulkar is hard to imagine, but with the legend finally bowing out after his 200th Test that culminated in an innings and a 126-run win; it is now a bitter reality.

There was an outpour of emotions with the West Indies players and former colleagues like Brian Lara and Sourav Ganguly joining in.

“On one hand the players wanted to celebrate a clean sweep over the West Indies but on the other they had to prepare for life without Tenulkar. They were sad to see Indian cricket's tireless servant go,“ said a member of the Indian team management.

Team members were finding it hard to keep emotions in check. “It was an emotional moment for all of us.
One felt as if an important organ of your body was taken out. He has been a guiding light all these years and the biggest influence in the dressing room,“ said one.
