Inaugurating a city water bus service connecting the Vyttila mobility hub and Kakkanad, here on Tuesday, he said the state government was actively considering setting up townships along the Vallarpadam Container Terminal Road.

“Big infra projects have to be conceived to make the Metro Rail feasible. An integrated transport system placing greater emphasis on water transport will be developed along with the Metro Rail. The government and the civic body are  focusing on promoting a better water transport system as it has already been included in the next phase of the JNNURM,” the minister said.
