Thiruvananthapuram: The problems in Kerala Congress(M) have remained unresolved as KC (M) Chairman K.M. Mani has given a long rope to chief whip P.C. George, prompting warring leader P.J. Joseph to skip the party meeting. However, Joseph  said  a meeting will be called again on November 27.

Sources told Deccan Chronicle that even before the meeting  started, Mani  announced that action will not be taken against George which upset the  Joseph camp. When reporters met Mani, he admitted that there were  problems in the party.

“Problems  are quite natural which can be solved through talks,”  he said. However,  Joseph maintained that it was due to his inconvenience that the meeting was postponed. He remained tight-lipped when asked whether he had sought the removal of George as  chief whip.

Francis George told Deccan Chronicle that they were  firm in their stand against George. Strangely, George told Deccan Chronicle  that there was no  meeting to discuss his ouster from the party or from his official post.

“How could someone discuss an issue when a meeting was not there at the first instance? If there was  an issue, we would have discussed it,”  he said. This is the second time in  one month that  the meeting was  postponed much to the displeasure of the Joseph camp.
