Kochi: Cricketer Sreesanth Santhakumaran is all set to enter wedlock  on December 12. His elder brother Dipusanth had earlier tweeted, “Wedding bells are ringing.....Sreesanth getting married on 12th Dec 2013..details soon......” (sic).

Later,  Dipu confirmed to DC that Sree would be tying the knot with Bhuvaneswari of royal family Shikhavat in Jaipur. She is fondly called Nain by her  kith and kin. According to sources, Nain is a jewellery designer.

Banned by the BCCI following a match-fixing allegation during the last Indian Premier League,  Sreesanth, 30, has been in a relationship with Nain for the past six years. Sreesanth met her before an ODI match against Pakistan at Jaipur on November 18, 2007. The girl has since been giving strong support to  the cricketer, even amid the match-fixing scandal and the Tihar jail term.

Dipusanth also said the marriage will be held at Guruvayur Sree Krishna temple. “Wedding will be on December 12 at Guruvayur, followed by a reception at Le Meredien Hotel in Kochi on the same evening. There will also be another reception in Kochi either the next day or the day after,” Dipusanth added. The wedding is set to happen in traditional Kerala style, while reception in true Rajasthani style which will be accompanied by a baraat.

The two families are yet to meet, but Dipu said they have been communicating over phone for the past few months and agreed on the date last week. Sreesanth was banned from all forms of the game by the Board of Control for Cricket in India after an internal probe in connection with the match-fixing scandal.  He has played in 27 Tests (87 wickets), 53 ODIs (75 wickets) and 10 T20s (seven wickets).
