Achuthanandan asks Oommen Chandy to step down, not shield ministers
Armed with Saritha's claim of 'physical exploitation' by 3 politicians, VS charged the CM.
Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader V.S. Achuthanandan on Wednesday charged Chief Minister Oommen Chandy with protecting three leaders, one a cabinet colleague, another a former minister and the third a union minister, who allegedly had relationship with ‘con-woman’ Saritha.
At a press conference here, he said the solar scam accused Biju Radhakrishnan's lawyer had claimed that Saritha was “physically exploited” by the three. Biju, during his meeting with Chandy at the Ernakulam guest house, which was held much before the solar scam broke out, had shared the information about their involvement, he added.
Achuthanandan accused Chandy of violating the oath of office by hiding the serious allegations against the ‘tainted’ and by not initiating action against them. He said the Chief Minister should remove the minister from his cabinet before the visuals came in the public domain.
