Kolkata: The city is gearing up for another fiesta as Carlos Alberto Torres, the 1970 World Cup-winning Brazilian captain will come with the FIFA World Cup Gold trophy on December 22 in its tour to 88 countries ahead of next year's quadrennial extravaganza in Rio de Janeiro.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy, which is touring the 'home' of Indian football for the second time, will be here for two days and the football-crazy fans of the city will get a chance to see the iconic Brazilian defender.
With exactly a month to go for the Trophy tour, Coca Cola, the official partners of the World Cup today unveiled a tableau with a giant Cup replica that was flagged off by West Bengal Sports minister Madan Mitra at Prinsep Ghat.
Titled 'The Coca Cola Cup of Joy", the tableau will visit prominent places across the city and the state in a month-long tour, the organisers said.
"There will also be inter para competition for football fanatics and an anthem contest for the musicians."
