Hyderabad: Hyderabad's Srivatsa Ratakonda and S. Dharna Mudaliar emerged boys and girls' champions respectively at the all-India ranking Talent Series tennis tournament for under-16 boys and girls, organised by the GMR Tennis Academy on their premises at Vanasthalipuram in Hyderabad.

Srivatsa won the boys' final defeating Jude Leander 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 while in the girls' summit clash, Dharna served up a double bagel, crushing B. Nishitha Srinivas 6-0, 6-0.

Dharna seemed unstoppable right from the beginning. She immediately unleashed a flurry of strokes, pushing Nishitha into a corner. In virtually no time, she won the first set 6-0, a blow from which Nishitha never recovered as she lost the second 0-6 to surrender the title to Dharna.

Srivatsa began the boys final well, reeling off several winners to take the first set 6-2. However, Jude hit back in the second, taking it 6-2 to restore parity. However, Srivatsa regained his touch, and despite Jude's best efforts, won the decider 6-3 to seal the match and with it, the boys title.
