PIL for ban on 'Bigg Boss' for 'Heaven and Hell' depiction

Hyderabad, Nov. 21: A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed by Mohd Fasiuddin, a resident of the city, seeking to impose ban on the telecast of reality TV show 'Bigg Boss' Season 7 on Colors channel.
The petitioner named Hindi film star actor Salman Khan as one of the respondents to the petition, submitting that the actor has been hosting the show.

He contended that the picturisation of “Heaven” (Jannat) and “Hell”?(Jahannam) in the show is hurting the sentiments and emotions of every Muslim.
He submitted that in Islamic view, Heaven and Hell are quite different from the said reality show, which was tarnishing the image of Islam and its culture.
The petitioner alleged that the TV show has been violating the “norms of decency”?and have a polluting effect of public morality.
The petitioner urged the court for imposing ban on the reality show and to declare the acti-on of the respondents as illegal.
