Washington: Mrs John F. Kennedy went into seclusion last night and she is not expected to return to the White House for some time.
Her two young children, John junior and Caroline, who are observing their 3rd and 6th birthdays respectively still were not aware of their father’s death.
Mr Kennedy’s Assistant Press Secretary, Andrew Hatcher, said.
The children were taken from the White House about a half hour before the Presidential jet plane arrived at Andrews Air Force base carrying their father’s body home to Washington.
