Firoz Fatma is the first woman crorepati on this season of 'KBC'
A resident of Sharapur, Uttar Pradesh, Firoz Fatma is the first woman crorepati on this season of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. The 22-year-old contestant is happy and thrilled about winning the prize money on the show and tells us, “I never thought I would win, even when I was on the hot seat. It came as a huge surprise to me. I didn’t feel like I’d won the money until Bachchanji hugged me. It is a great feeling…”
Firoz, a BSc student lives in a village where the schools have classes only till Standard Eight. “After that, we have to take an ST bus to travel to another school which is almost 30 km away from our village,” she said.
Firoz lives with her mother and a younger sister. Her father’s untimely demise three years ago left the family debt-ridden. “I had to stop my education and deal with (what was happening in our) personal life. My father had taken a loan of Rs 12 lakhs. I’m so happy that I’ve won because it means I can repay the loans,” Firoz said adding that she could also perhaps start a business.
As for her 'KBC' experience, the young winner says she’ll always cherish having met Amitabh Bachchan.
