NH bypass works to get expedited

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday said district collectors had been directed to carry out negotiated purchase in connection with land acquisition for development of NH bypass in Kollam, Alappuzha and Thiruvananthapuram.

At the cabinet briefing, Chandy said the NH work would be taken up on priority.  Those parting with their land for the development of bypasses would be given market price without further delay. The cabinet also decided to expedite land acquisition work.

He  said though people had reservations regarding  45- metre  width for NH at various places in the state, the centre was not ready to relax the condition
