Surveillance system must in schools
The state government will make it mandatory for all schools in Hyderabad and Cyberabad.
Hyderabad: The state government will make it mandatory for all schools in Hyderabad and Cyberabad with more than 500 students to install surveillance systems.
A decision in this regard was taken at a high-level meeting on safe cities by chief secretary Dr P.K. Mohanty at the Secretariat. The commissioner of Hyderabad and Cyberabad, Anurag Sharma and C.V. Anand, and others were present.
The chief secretary directed the home ministry to immediately frame rules to implement the Public Safety Act which stresses surveillance with people’s mandatory participation.
Dr Mohanty also asked the Cyberabad commissioner to convince IT companies that have surveillance systems in place on their campuses to assist the state in maintaining surveillance in the entire IT zone.
