Ashwini, Saif claim top spoils

Bengaluru: Fourth seeded Ashwini Bhat defeated Sheethal Sudarshan 21-9 21-13 in the final to claim the U-16 crown at the 10th Ramesh Padukone-Mehul Sirur Memorial inter-school badminton tournament on Thursday .

Ashwini completed a double, claiming the U-14 title.

In the corresponding boys sections, Saif Ali claimed the top prize after rallying past Nikhil Syam Sriram 11-21 2117 21-17 in the title round.
