Idukki ride on Hari hattrick

Harikrishnan struck a hat-trick as Idukki reached the semifinal of the state senior football championship with a thumping 3-0 victory over hosts Wayanad at Arapetta on Friday . It was a close contest as both sides remained scoreless even after the hour mark. In the 72nd minute Harikrishnan put Idukki ahead. As Wayanad got desperate for an equaliser the striker netted two more in the 86th and 89th minutes to seal a thrilling win.

Idukki now await defending champions Malappuram in the second semifinal on Sunday. Last year’s finalists Kasargod and Kollam play the first semifinal on Saturday.
