Chennai: While M.S.Dhoni is yet to disclose the identity of his No.4 batsman for the upcom ing Test series against South Africa, former India skipper Sourav Ganguly feels Virat Kohli who is on a dream run is best suited for the key spot which is up for grabs after the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar. “I think, it's going to be Kohli. Rohit Sharma has to come in at No.5 and Dhoni needs to find someone for No.6,“ said Ganguly who was in the city for a promotional event.
India's one of the most successful skippers, Ganguly said the selectors have picked good team for the SA tour.
“The team has to bowl well to make an impact in the series.
Zaheer Khan's experience will hold the key. We also have talented pacers in Mohd.
Shami, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Shami has done exceptionally well and he has got pace. He's a special talent,“ said Ganguly.
Ganguly said he was happy to see Sachin being awarded the Bharat Ratna. “This man has done a lot representing the country for 24 years. So, he deserves every bit of it,“ Ganguly added.
