Fakruddin, aides killed man to fund jihad

Chennai: Terror suspect ‘Police’ Fakruddin and his associates, arrested a couple of months ago in Chennai and Puttur, Andhra Pradesh,  reportedly stabbed a man in Gudiyattom in April this year after robbing him of the Rs 1.5 lakh he was carrying to fund their  jihad operations.

The CB-CID ,which disclosed this on Tuesday, has for the first time admitted that Fakruddin and his associates, were committing crime to back their jihad work in the country.

The arrested men are thought to have planted a pipe bomb on the route taken by senior BJP leader, L.K. Advani and triggered the blast at the BJP headquarters in Bengaluru in Karnataka.

“Fakruddin, Bilal Malik and Panna Ismail have confessed that they had followed Panchatcharam, an employee of a jewellery store and stabbed him before snatching his bag with the money to fund their jihad operations.

The jewellery store staffer later died of his injuries,” the police said, claiming that the men were also involved in the murders of Vellaiy­appan, Aravind Reddy in Vellore, auditor Ramesh in Salem and of Murugan in Paramakudi. It is believed milk vendor Murugan was murdered because he tried to get friendly with a Muslim woman.

Abubakkar Sidique, an explosive experts and a key associate of Fakruddin is still at large and the police has offered a Rs 5 lakh reward for any information on  him.
