Bangalore won the right to host the next year's IBSF World Snooker Championships for men, women and masters.
Daugapils (Latvia): Bangalore today won the right to host the next year's IBSF World Snooker Championships for men, women and masters.
The decision was taken at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) here today.
Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) president Captain PVK Mohan formally placed a bid to host the tournament, possibly in November.
"Having conducted the IBSF Championship twice in India, most of you here having experienced it, should I say more? We will be too pleased to hold it in Bangalore," Capt Mohan informed the AGM.
The 36 member nations, out of 83, attending the AGM here approved the proposal.
The exact dates of the championship will be finalised at the BSFI's Board Meeting in Bangalore in December 14.
