Ishan Debnath to be out of action for rest of I-League
Debnath has fractured his left leg in a freak mishap.

Kolkata: United SC goalkeeper Ishan Debnath, who has fractured his left leg in a freak mishap, was today ruled out for the remainder of the I-League season as a string of injury woes plagued the team.
"Debnath broke both his shin bones -- tibia and fibula -- after colliding with Deepak Mondal. It's unlikely that we would be able to see him in action in the ongoing I-League," a United SC official said today.
Debanth underwent a surgery at a city hospital today and he would be released on Tuesday, the official added. With their seniormost goalkeeper Sangram Mukherjee yet to recover from an injury, a rookie Abhijit Das may stand under the bar in their upcoming I-League match against Dempo on Tuesday.
United SC midfielder Eric Brown also suffered a bone dislocation in yesterday's match, while during practice this morning, Anupam Sarkar was hurt in his nose while vying for the ball against Mohammad Rafique.
United SC who are four points behind leaders Bengaluru FC but their I-League campaign has got a big blow after their 0-4 rout to Mohun Bagan yesterday.
