Hyderabad: Maverick film director Ram Gopal Varma made some scathing remarks against TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He said probably it was due to the absence of leaders like KCR that states in the United States were not demanding separate provinces.

Varma also said he would have liked to see “what KCR would have done in his life if he was born as an American in Washington DC.”

Obviously against the bifurcation of the state, Varma posted a series of comments on his Twitter account targeting KCR for his separatist politics. “Why do states in the United States not ask for separate states? Is it because the states in United States don’t have capable leaders like KCR?’ Varma wrote.

The top league director also sarcastically answered his own question. “Such is his power that if KCR was a New Yorker he would have succeeded in joining New York and New Jersey by eliminating the Brooklyn Bridge!”

Varma said he failed to understand the idea of a separate state, adding that we should learn from the United St-ates. “I really wonder why no state in the United States asks for a separate state,”?Varma wrote on his account.

He further asked, “Is it because the states in India were never united or is it because we as Indians are incapable of staying united?” He also blamed the people, questioning if we knew how to stay united.

“Should we learn from the United States on how states should be united or should we accept that we don’t know how to stay united like United States?”
