Visakhapatnam: The BJP cadres erupted in joy following the party’s victory in four states. They took out an impressive bike rally in the city and celebrated the occasion at the party office.

The BJP leaders predicted similar results would repeat in 2014 general polls and that Narendra Modi will become the prime minister.

BJP senior leader Kambhampati Hari Babu, D.V. Subba Rao, P.V. Narayana Rao and scores of party workers rallied on the streets and converged on the Beach Road, where they burst crackers, raised slogans  and distributed sweets.

“The public is vexed with the anti-people policies of Congress-led UPA government and corruption by ministers. Everyone is looking forward for the leadership of Narendra Modi. Voters will teach a befitting lesson to the Congress in 2014 as well,” said BJP leader Haribabu.

While, BJP workers and leaders were in upbeat mood, the results had definitely dissuaded the Congress workers. The party leaders in the city are worried about their prospects in the wake of UPA’s decision to divide the state and the anti-Congress wave in the country.

“We are worried about the fate of the party in this region and our future. Only god can save Congress and us,” said a Congress MLA.
