Hyderabad: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu congratulated Aam Admi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Monday on the latter's stupendous victory in the Delhi Assembly elections and said the Congress lost the authority to continue in power.

"The mood of the nation has become clear, be it in urban or rural India. People are fed up with corruption and misrule and the Congress has completely lost people's confidence," Chandrababu said at a press conference here this evening.

"The Congress is on a ventilator. Once the ventilator is taken off, it's gone," he remarked.

Hailing Kejriwal and his AAP's spectacular victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, the TDP chief observed it was a great achievement that a common man like Kejriwal, with his fight against corruption, trounced a strong Chief Minister like Sheila Dixit.

"Kejriwal fought vehemently against corruption and won people's hearts. The common people of the country have suffered heavily because of corruption and unabated price rise," the former Chief Minister noted.

Corruption could be rooted out only if the Congress party was decimated, Chandrababu asserted and asked the MPs to vote the party out if a no-confidence motion came up in Lok Sabha.

Incidentally, four TDP MPs issued notice to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Monday for a no-confidence motion against the UPA government.

Six Congress MPs from Seemandhra region also issued a similar notice separately.
