TiEcon a goldmine of avenues

TiEcon Kerala 2013, the largest ever meet of entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Kochi: TiEcon Kerala 2013, the largest ever meet of entrepreneurs and business leaders in the state being held on December 13 and 14 at Le Meridien Convention Centre, Kochi, offers a goldmine of opportunities for new and existing entreprises in the state.

An initiative of TiE Kerala,   the state chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a global organization engaged in promoting entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking and education, the conference will bring together industrialists, businessmen, investors, educationalists, technologists, mentors and management experts on a single platform. 

“The participants will be able to learn about the success mantras of entrepreneurship, ways of wealth creation through serial entrepreneurship, how to scale up business, ways of funding start up businesses, why businesses fail, Entrepreneurship- the Kerala way, new trends in sectors like agriculture, education, emerging sectors like genomics etc at the meet,” John K. Paul, president of TiE Kerala told reporters here.

The conference offers opportunities for delegates to listen and interact with about 100 learned speakers from the country and abroad.

It is   spread over 40 sessions in  five  concurrent tracks over two  days, covering  important sectors like entrepreneurship,  manufacturing, IT/ITES, tourism, retail  and health care. There will also be sessions on mentoring   and pitching for venture capital funding on both days, he added.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the meet. The theme of the conference is ‘Prosperity through Entrereneurship.’ Dr. Bernard A. Harris Jr., NASA astronaut, will be the chief guest.
