Akash scalps five as TN takes lead ?

Chennai: Tamil Nadu's P. Akash Ram took five for 66 as MPCA were all out for 260 in their U-19 Elite 'B' Cooch Behar Trophy match on Tuesday. In reply, TN were 17 for no loss when stumps were drawn on day three.

Kennedy survives a scare

Sesu Edward Kennedy survived a scare from Krishna in the qualifying match of the Tamil Nadu state ranking billiards and snooker tournament here on Tuesday. After winning the initial frame, Kennedy lost the next two frames in a row. The deciding frame was just a walk in the park for Kennedy to qualify for the main draw.

Chennai Open ticket sale begins

The online ticket sale for the 19th edition of the Aircel Chennai Open has begun. The tournament starts on December 30.

Hrishikesh, Likhit share limelight

Hrishikesh Simha slammed 126 to guide Hyderabad to 352 against Karnataka in the second round of the south zone U-16 Vijay Merchant tournament here on Tuesday.

Resuming from their overnight score of 204 for three, Hyderabad reached 352 before reducing Karnataka to a precarious 90 for three at stumps.
