Kavita Choudhary of 'Ek Aur Udaan' fame is poised to make a comeback on the small screen very soon. She says, “The untitled show will address how women continue to fight against gender inequality in a patriarchal society.”

Kavita feels that there is a need to change the notion men seem to have about women. She says, “We keep hearing our politicians speaking disrespectfully about women. They talk about how it is scary to appoint women in positions of power. Our culture has taught us to respect women. Why can’t these men change their attitude towards women?”

Some episodes of the new show will talk about how women need to be given equal rights as men. “The emotional quotient of the stories will be high. We’ll be portraying how humans continue to imbibe both good and bad habits and how, some decisions, even when made subconsciously, can prove detrimental to the society.” She adds, “We are going on air sometime around May-June next year. We have got the green signal from a huge mainstream entertainment channel and we have also fixed on a prime time slot,” Kavita says.

The show is currently in its pre-production stages. “Right now we are having auditions for the cast. I am looking for someone who has the simplicity that will appeal to the audience. Perhaps someone like director Kiran Rao, whose looks are simple appealing and she is of course very intelligent. That’s the picture I have got in mind,” Kavita says.
