RSS designs BJP’s poll plan

New Delhi: Top RSS leaders have begun working on strategies to ensure that the BJP gets absolute majority in the coming Lok Sabha polls.

A three-day-long chintan baithak of the Sangh parivar fountainhead began in Delhi where the leadership will not only analyse saffron party’s performance in the just-concluded Assembly polls, but will also put their heads together to make sure that in the south, east, north-west regions of the country the BJP gains ground.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is expected to attend this meeting on the concluding day. The RSS is actively involved in the BJP’s poll-related strategy for the general elections of 2014.

BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s 'influence and impact' on the Assembly polls and impact of new political outfit Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which proved to be the main opponent for the BJP rather than the Congress in the Delhi Assembly polls, will also be discussed threadbare.

Article 370, India’s land boundary dispute with neighbouring countries and internal security are among other issues that will come up for discussion.

Sources disclosed that BJP chief Rajnath Singh met the Sangh top brass on Sunday evening to discuss the Assembly polls verdict. Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her Chhatti-sgarh counterpart Raman Singh, who were in Delhi, were also expected to meet the RSS leaders and give their assessment on Assembly polls results in their respective states. RSS leaders are also likely to  meet other senior BJP leaders.

The Sangh Parivar’s course of action in the run-up to the general polls and corrective measures to be taken by the BJP, mostly in its state units, to ensure that it comes to power at the Centre after a decade, are also points of deliberations for this meeting.
