Siddara­maiah puts lid on cabinet expansion

Bangalore: A cabinet expansion may not take place immediately, or it could happen this coming Wednesday or after San­k­ranti on Janu­ary 15.

Or not at all. Des­pite mounting pressure to expand his cabinet and make appointments to boards and corporations, Chief Mini­ster Siddara­maiah, who is in Delhi, has convinced the party that the move should be put on hold till after the polls as it will create rifts within the party.   

Another camp in the party maintained however that the expansion was set for Wednesday and D.K. Shiva­kumar, R. Roshan Baig, Veeranna Mattikatti and Dr A.B. Maalakareddy may be inducted. Belgaum city MLA, Firoz Sait's name is also doing the rounds.
