The gorgeous Tollywood star Shanvi is exited about her Sandalwood debut
This gorgeous beauty, who made her debut in Tollywood with Lovely in 2012 turned a year older last Sunday (December 8). Shanvi is all excited about her debut Kannada film Chandralekha starring Chiranjeevi Sarja, directed by N Omprakash Rao, which is all set to release in January 2014.
Shanvi says, “Chandralekha is the best movie in my career so far. I have learnt to act better through the movie. There is immense scope for an actress in Chandralekha, as there are varied emotions, from soft and sweet to terrified. I have worked round the clock with a dedicated team and the film was wrapped up in a short period of time, about 35-40 days. I don't think I have ever worked so hard earlier."
So how did the pretty lady get into films? The actress explains that though her sister was into acting, it was never her first choice. “I had this habit of taking my own photos whenever I was free during college days. The same photos helped me get into films. Though, I have not done any formal acting course, I try to better my skills on the sets. For Chandralekha, I was chosen as they needed someone fresh with a cute and bubbly nature. I am lucky to have been chosen," says Shanvi.
She adds that she is not interested in doing every film that is offered to her and lays emphasis on good script and roles. “I do not like to be branded for a particular role. What I did in my earlier Telugu films is very different from this. In Chandralekha, there is ample space for acting -there are two different aspects to it, -horror and a split personality, which required intensity and skill."
In fact, the actress is interested in doing action films. “Not many Indian actresses get to do action films. I'd love to be a part of an action film. I do not know whether I would suit such a role but my dream role is in an action film," she says. That is also why Shanvi wanted to join the Indian army, if she was not an actress.
“My sister who is also acting assists me in choosing films along with my family. I read all the scripts and do not okay them until I have full faith in them," says Shanvi, who completed shooting for Chandralekha, and credits director Omprakash Rao, for polishing her acting skills.
The actress who has acted in another Telugu film 'Adda', has also bagged the female lead role in 'Pyar Mein Padipoyane' playing opposite actor Aadi.
