20 huts gutted in fire mishap
About 20 huts were gutted in a fire that broke out due to leakage of LPG gas in Munnekolala village.
Bangalore: About 20 huts were gutted in a fire that broke out due to leakage of LPG gas in Munnekolala village near Marathahalli in HAL on Tuesday afternoon. Goods worth Rs 1.29 lakh was gutted in the fire.
According to the fire department officials, the control room received a call at 1.30 pm about the incident. Four fire tenders were rushed to the scene immediately and the fire was doused completely. There were nearly 30 huts in the area near Vagdevi Vilas Institutions and 20 among them were completely gutted.
“It is said that it happened as there was an explosion in one of the huts due to leakage of LPG gas from a small cylinder. The hut caught fire and it spread to other huts. However, there were no casualties,” an official said.
