Atharva, the son of yesteryear actor Murali, is now being choosy about his scripts as his last flick, 'Paradesi', garnered rave reviews for his performance.

'Irumbhu Kuthirai', in which he plays the role of a bike racer, will be releasing very soon. In this film, Priya Anand plays the female lead. Atharva is also shooting for his next flick, 'Eeti', directed by Ravi Arasu . He talks for the first time about the character he plays in that film. “I play the role of a hurdler, and the storyline is completely centred on this particular sport. It is indeed challenging, as I have to get up early, and a trainer had to teach me the 110m hurdle sport. I was also asked to tone up my body to resemble an athlete’s. I believe I have done justice to the role. There is a difference between a professional body-builder and an athlete,” he says. “It’s a visually impressive film, and the storyline is unique,” he adds. He pairs opposite Sri Divya for the first time.

Atharva is also busy shooting for another untitled flick, which is produced by Kalaipuli S. Dhanu. Catherine Tresa plays the female lead.
