Lawyers slam Kiran, Jagan

Flaying alleged efforts against formation of Telangana state, a large number of lawyers.

Karimnagar: Flaying alleged efforts against formation of Telangana state, a large number of lawyers and members of district BAR association burned effigies of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, YSRC president Jagan Mohan Reddy, Loksatta president Jaya Prakash Narayan and CPM K. Raghavulu in front district courts complex on Friday.

Karimnagar BAR association president Komati Sanjeeva Reddy alleged that the Seemandhra legislators were trying to stall the formation of T state by postponing debate over the Telangana Bill sent by President of India to seek the views of members in the House.

The Seemandhra legislators were compared to venomous snakes as they were opposing the Bill. Lashing out at the Speaker of Assembly Nadendla Manohar, the lawyers said that he was acting against provisions of the law with regard to the debate over the Bill.

The speaker is ignoring the sentiments of Telangana people by postponing the debate,â? alleged Gaddam Sai Kumar, vice president of the BAR association. The BAR represents Raghunandan Rao, G. Madhusudan Reddy, S. Ravindar Reddy, P.V. Raj Kumar, U. Anjaneyulu including many lawyers were present in the protest.
