Anantapur: Primary education minister Sake Sailajanath, who is also the Seemandhra Representatives Forum convener, called on MLAs and MLCs of Seemandhra to fight against bifurcation.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Saialajanath said that the AP State Reorganisation Bill intended to carve out Telangana was unclear and not in a position to clarify on the queries raised by MLAs as well as the common public.

Referring to the notice seeking a resolution on Samaikyandhra in the Assembly, he appealed to the representatives from all political parties to jointly mount pressure for a resolution before taking up discussion on the Bill.

“We stand on the demand for a Samaikyandhra resolution in the Assembly to send strong signals to the Centre. No sate has been divided so far without a resolution in the Assembly so far,” he said.
Hoping that the state would be kept undivided he said that there were many options including the Assembly and Courts to stop the process.

The minister said all MLAs and MLCs from Seemandhra irrespective of parties would mount pressure on the Centre to roll back its unilateral decision. Saialajanath also said that Seemandhra representatives would submit a representation to President Pranab Mukherjee requesting him to put aside the split.
