Looks like Priya Anand’s stars are working in her favour and she is slowly turning into a dependable star these days. The buzz is that the petite actress has been paid a large sum for her upcoming untitled flick with Vemal. Directed by Kannan, the film is a travel story, set on a train between 'Thoothukudi' and Chennai.

Priya essays the role of a final year medico student who hails from Madurai and is a strong-minded person. Vemal plays a simpleton from 'Thoothukudi'.

Talking to DC, Kannan says, “For the female lead, I wanted someone who has an educated look and who lives in Madurai. And Priya fitted the role to a T and was brought on board.” Satish of Ethir Neechal fame will play a crucial role in the family entertainer.

Busy Imman who has just completed his film, 'Jilla', with Vijay, will start composing tracks for the film, produced by Michael Rayappan, next week. Kannan’s favourite cinematographer, P.G. Muthiah, has been roped in.
