Actor Dileep to be quizzed today

Kochi: The questioning of actor Dileep in connection with the seizure of currencies and documents from his residence and office has been postponed to Tuesday on mutual agreement of the actor and the preventive unit of the central excise and service tax department.

Dileep had told the officials that he would be present only on Tuesday due to the shooting commitments, which the officers also approved. “He had asked for a day more, to which we agreed.

Dileep confirmed that he would come tomorrow (Tuesday),” said V. Pazhaniyandi,  assistant commissioner of preventive unit. The actor has been summoned to show documents for the source of the seized currencies.

Meanwhile, cinematographer P. Sukumar presented himself before the officers on Monday in connection with the raids conducted on his residence.

The officers said Sukumar cooperated with them and answered their questions. “The probe is not over. We could meet him when we raided his house. That was why he was summoned.” Pazhaniyandi added.
