Bangalore: Former chief minister B.S Yeddyurappa’s agonising wait to get back into the BJP which he quit a year ago, could soon be over with sources saying he had received positive signals from the central leadership on his reinduction.

Party national president Rajnath Singh has initiated preliminary talks with central leaders in Delhi to arrive at a consensus on the reinduction so that there would be no dissenting voices when the former CM rejoins the BJP.

Leaders who had vehemently opposed his return, have now softened their stand with an eye on the Lok Sabha elections, said the sources, adding, "We have received positive signals but we do not know when the reinduction will happen”. Earlier, sources had confided that the 'homecoming' would happen by December end or in the first week of January.

A special state executive meeting of the BJP will be held at Bangalore on December 27, to be attended by national president Rajnath Singh and Karnataka in-charge Tavarchand Gelot. On the table - Yeddyurappa and preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.
